Washington, D.C. – Mona Benach has joined Better Markets as a Senior Securities Specialist. She comes to Better Markets from private practice in securities litigation, where she most recently served as Senior Counsel representing public corporations and individuals before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB.)

Benach also previously served as Assistant Director at the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board and as Assistant General Counsel at a large financial services company. From 2008-2013 she served in the Division of Enforcement at the SEC as Senior Counsel. She began her legal career as an associate at Arnold & Porter and was a judicial law clerk for Hon. Deborah K. Chasanow from 2001-2002.
Benach graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar from Columbia Law School where she was a member of the Columbia Law Review and she received her BA from The Johns Hopkins University.
