Scott Farnin was Legal Counsel for Better Markets, where he works to advance Better Markets’ legal activities, including monitoring legal developments in the world of finance, researching and drafting agency comment letters, and providing legal analysis on legislation.

Mr. Farnin came to Better Markets from the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served as Financial Services Counsel for a senior member of Congress and subcommittee chair of the Committee on Financial Services. While there, he worked on financial services law and policy, including drafting legislation, conducting oversight of financial regulators and industry, and serving as a senior adviser. Mr. Farnin is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University, and he received his law degree from George Washington University.
