Riker Vermilye was the Congressional Relations Manager at Better Markets, where he helped communicate multiple viewpoints on a variety of complex issues to different stakeholders, including the Congressional and Executive Branches, advocacy and policy groups, and industry representatives. He left Better Markets to join the Peace Corps, where he is due to be stationed in Madagascar. Prior to joining Better Markets, Mr. Vermilye was the legislative assistant for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, & Urban Affairs. While there, he provided research, analysis and support to senior staff in various areas including securities and market structure issues and rules; FSOC asset manager designations and capital formation issues; sanctions, terror financing and remittance issues; and coin and currency issues.
