Zolmax News: More Households in US Don’t Have Bank Accounts

“The number of American households without bank accounts is rising. According to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., 10 million households reported lacking one last year. This was up from 9 million in 2009.

That number is 8.2 percent of households or 17 million adults that are categorized by the FDIC as unbanked. Almost three in 10 households don’t have a savings account. 10 percent don’t have a checking account…”
