Senate Banking Committee Gathers Information about Possible S&P Hearing

The Senate Banking Committee has started gathering information for what could become a hearing on the ratings agency Standard & Poor’s, a committee aide said Monday.

S&P downgraded America’s sparkling credit rating on Friday. S&P spokesman David Wargin declined to comment.
