Fed Considers Spelling Out Its Likely Plans More Clearly

“Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke suggested the central bank is considering steps to better signal how it is likely to act.  The Fed has been considering whether to provide more explicit guidance on its plans for interest rates. One idea would be to more explicitly tie changes in its interest-rate policy to forecasts for employment and inflation measures.”
