The front page of the New York Times today has a big article entitled “For Wealthy Romney Donors, Up Close and Personal Access” which details how the Presidency is bought by the uber-rich in this country who get access in exchange for huge campaign contributions.
It’s enough to make you sick how money buys political access and, although they all deny it, policy results, including for financial executives who undoubtedly are drawn to the deregulatory policies of the candidate:
“On Thursday night, Mr. Rove held court on a hotel balcony with about a half-dozen financial executives, who peppered him with questions about Mr. Romney’s chances.”
