Better Markets President and CEO Dennis Kelleher recently appeared on PBS NewsHour to discuss the Volcker Rule approved by financial regulators on December 10, three years after new financial reform rules were voted into law.
“We need a change in the tone at the top. We need a compliance culture instead of a gambling culture… Wall Street has been at war with financial reform. I would hope they’d take the opportunity with the Volcker Rule to actually embrace financial reform. Let’s have a safer, sounder banking system that really does serve the economy, rather than building up bankers’ bonuses.”
