Dennis Kelleher, CEO of Better Markets, Named to Washingtonian’s 500 Most Influential List For 5th Year in a Row

WASHINGTON, D.C.— For the fifth year in a row, Washingtonian Magazine has selected Dennis Kelleher, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Better Markets, as one of the Most Influential People in Washington. “With a new administration now in place, these power players’ expertise and strategic insight are especially crucial as they navigate shifting priorities and relationships across the capital,” Washingtonian says of the honorees.

Washingtonian describes Kelleher as “a vocal advocate of robust financial regulations” and that he “works with policymakers to strengthen investor protections and instill integrity in the financial market.” In the past year, Kelleher has been busy detailing how Trump’s dangerous deregulation is going to lead to a crash, speaking truth to power in front of the crypto industry, standing up for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and exposing the mendacious bait and switch of billionaire campaign contributors.

Since co-founding it in 2010, Kelleher has built Better Markets into a powerful and effective counterweight to the financial industry across Washington’s economic and financial policymaking. Leading a team of experts in economics, finance, litigation, banking, securities, commodities, and derivatives, Kelleher has been fighting for an economy that works for all Americans and a financial system focused on wealth creation, not wealth extraction.
