Better Markets Sets the Record Straight on Cost-Benefit Analysis and Financial Reform

Dennis Kelleher, President and CEO of Better Markets, presents his organization’s report, “Setting the Record Straight on Cost-Benefit Analysis and Financial Reform at the Securities and Exchange Commission” (SEC). The report concludes that requiring cost-benefit analysis for every regulation would greatly weaken or even kill financial regulatory reform. Kelleher spoke at a meeting held July 30, 2012, at the Peterson Institute for International Economics to discuss the implementation of the Dodd-Frank financial reform law.
