Better Markets Congratulates Cantrell Dumas on Being Named to the CFTC’s Technology Advisory Committee (TAC)

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Better Markets congratulates Cantrell Dumas, the organization’s  Director of Derivatives Policy, on his appointment to the Commodity Futures and Trading Commission’s Technology Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC assists the Commission in identifying and understanding the impacts and implications of technological innovation in financial services and markets.

“Cantrell’s outstanding work at Better Markets and extensive prior service at the CFTC makes him an excellent choice to serve on TAC,” said Dennis M. Kelleher, Better Markets President and CEO. “At the CFTC and now at Better Markets, Cantrell has thoughtfully analyzed how technological innovation impacts commodity and derivatives markets. He also understands the need to carefully consider how areas like crypto, fintech, cybersecurity and gamification are affecting markets, investors, and consumers. I know that Cantrell will help provide a voice for Main Street families, workers, investors, and market participants as a member of the committee.”
