“You have to love the Financial Times’ Lex column, which has this item today and begins thus: “Caveat emptor. But which emptor?”  It also makes the unassailable observation that “A truth and justice commission might be able to allocate blame but lawsuits are unlikely to,” although the odds of such a commission are less than zero.”
